Adolphus Brinkley was born in North Walsham in 1865.
He attested for The Norfolk Regt on 30th July, 1883.
Served in India from 26th November 1884.Burma November 1888 to March 1890.
Having completed 12 years service he was discharged in 1895.On 20th April 1900 he attested for The Royal Reserve Regiment (Cheshire Regt) for one years service with the Colours. He then attested for the 3rd Norfolk Militia on 3rd September, 1903, being discharged on 10/09/1909.
Served in The 5th Norfolk Regt as no 26533 and then the Royal Defence Corps WW1 (No overseas service)
