Lance Corporal James Kinlay 5th Btn., Royal Scots was killed in action on 5th May,1915.The Son of George and Agnes Kinlay, of 4,Buccleuch terrace, Edinburgh.
He was born and enlisted in Edinburgh, and is commemorated pn the Helles memorial
He arrived in Gallipoli on 25/04/1915 in the initial landings,and died in the fighting to take Achi Baba on the 5th May.
