10171 Pte.William Evans,1st Btn., Border Regiment, was killed in action on 28th June,1915 at Gully Ravine, Gallipoli. The brother of Mr.A.E.Evans of 8, Station Road, Stowmarket, Suffolk.
He lived at Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, enlisted at Stratford, Essex and is commemorated on The Helles Memorial
Arrived in Gallipoli on 23/05/1915.
