Guy Vane Wykeham Barnes was born in Umballa India around 1886.He was the Son of Lieutenant-Colonel Raglan Wykeham Barnes 1854-1914 He attested for The Middlesex Regt as 9723 on 9th March, 1904, being medically discharged unfit on 06/11/1905.
2nd Lieut 21/12/1907 (Leinster Regt)

He was made bankrupt (Edinburgh Gazette October 28th,1910) address given as The Barracks, Ashton-Under Lyne.
Served in WW1,arrived in France on 20/08/1914 and entitled to Clasp and Roses.
Court Martialled (London Gazette 15/06/1921)
He died on 27/10/1962
He was the Father of Air Marshall Sir Peter Wykeham, K.B.E., D.S.O and bar, D.F.C and and bar, Air Force Cross, a well known and decorated WW2 pilot.He married Barbara,the daughter of J.B.Priestley.
