Arrived in France on 30/08/1915 served with the 7th 9th and 3rd Norfolk Regt.
Bertie Thomas Grimes was born in West Newton, Norfolk round 1887.He attested for the Norfolk Regiment on 5th September, 1914, having previously served with the 5th Battalion.Address given as Alexandra Cottage, West Newton.
Wounded 15/09/1916 (GSW Shoulder 15/09/1916 and GSW (face-severley) 27/03/1918.On the 1911 census he is described as a Dog-man (kennels)
Died 1959.
