Harry Cooper was born on Brighouse, Yorkshire on 10th May, 1895.He attested for the 1/6th Norfolk Regt in 1911 and was discharged on termination of his engagement on 23/02/1916.He joined The Royal Navy on 06/03/1916.Served on various Ships and shore establishments-also served WW2.

Harry Cooper did not serve abroad during his service with the 1/6th Cyclists Norfolk Regt, so qualification must have been through his service with The Royal Navy.
