Ernest Frederick Eltham was born in 1877 in Rochester, Kent.He joined the Royal Navy in 1894.It is noted that he was present aboard H.M.S. Philomel to qualify for the Eat and West Africa Medal clasp BENIN1897, and served on the Royal Yacht Osborne from 22nd November 1898 to 10th May,1900. In WW1,he served in ANTRIM until 24th August 1916 then being transferred to PEMBROKE. He was discharged in 1921. Served as an Air-Raid warden WW2.
