8076 Private Albert Burton,D.C.M. 2nd Battalion Norfolk Regiment,died on 12th June,1916
He was wounded in the Persian Gulf on 14th December 1915,and died of disease,possibly at Mosul, Mesopotamia,during the march into captivity at Anatolia, Turkey.He is buried in the Baghdad North Gate Cemetery.
D.C.M.London Gazette 12th December 1917(S.Woodford).-No citation.
Pte.Burton was born at Forrest Gate, West Ham, London in 1891.
