Both correctly named.
Patrick Byrne attested for the 19th Regiment aged 19 in 1863.
He was born at St, Andrews, Ireland.Has a very colourful service record of ten pages.Spent time in the cells..His Medical record shows a long list of ailments,and diseases treated,including "wound to chest".
Transferred to the 1/5th Fusiliers in 1871, and discharged in 1885.
Makes a good read!
Medals are about good very fine,edge bruise on I.G.S.
Comes with copied service papers, medal rolls etc.
